Lagos - It has been more than 100 days since the ASUU began striking for higher wages , and now Senator Sola Adeyeye,the Vice Chairman of th
e Senate Committee on Education has berated those demands as 'ridiculous',Leadership reports.
The strike has had a severe effect on the students, who have taken up menial jobs to themselves occupied. Adeyeye wants to debate with the lecturers on a public platform with the hopes of resolving the demands laid down by the university lecturers.
Many citizens have voiced their concern on social media site Twitter,@_iamdanieljnr wrote," #ASUU.. You're loosing (sic) customers. My siblings are going to London and Ghana for school." While @jaietie said "Life is too short to start waiting for #ASUU to call off strike.... Make use of your time students."
