Though the Spanish giants have not released any detail as to the size and length of the deal but Spanish media reports that the extended contract will run until 2018 and will earn £14.24m (€17m) annually. The new deal should quell speculation the Portuguese star is looking for a new club following the arrival of Gareth Bale for a world-record £85.3m. Ronaldo joined Real in 2009 for a then world-record £80m and has gone on to score 203 goals in as many matches for the club
